| I compared the desktops of KDE 4, XFCE 4, GNOME, MacOS X Leopard and Windows Vista. All use the same wallpaper. On the left you can see a terminal application and on the right there is the file manager open. I used those two applications because I think these are the most important apart from a webbrowser. On KDE one can change the color of the folders as shown. On XFCE and GNOME one can add emblems and on Mac OS one can change the colour of the text. Windows has no such feature but only a complete alteration of the icon. Other Operating Systems will follow soon. |
